Our founding member, John Wheeler celebrated
his 60th birthday in 1994. Sadly, John passed away in 1997.
We remember John fondly, as his
ideals of "participating and representing with a sporting
and friendly attitude; and encouraging athletes of all ages
and abilities" continue in all that we do at Girraween
Athletics Club.
