On Sunday, July 7, Girraween’s own Brad Milosevic
finished 2nd in the Gold Coast Half-Marathon in
the great time of 1:05.33 narrowly behind Kenya’s Reuben
Kosgei who had won the gold medal in the 3000m steeplechase
at the Sydney 2000 Olympics.
As well as finishing 2nd Brad is also now
the winner of the IAAF Oceania Half-Marathon Championship as
today’s Half- Marathon doubled as these championships and Brad by finishing 2nd was the first
athlete from the Oceania region to cross the line.
This a tremendous achievement by Brad and everyone at
Girraween Athletics Club sends their congratulations to him
on this remarkable result and tremendous breakthrough at
such a prestigious event.
Brad
has been running well lately and this result is a great
testament to all his hard work over a long period of time
and is very well deserved.
